Kinvara GAA will again this year parade in the hughly successful St. Patricks Day parade in Kinvara this coming Sunday 17th March.

What age group:
Since a lot of our juvenile members are also members of the local soccer club we have discussed with them and agreed the following:

U6's and U7's parade for GAA
U8's parade for Soccer
U9's parade for GAA
U10's parade for Soccer
U11's parade for GAA
U12's parade for Soccer
U13's parade for GAA

Note: All older kids to parade with the GAA.
Note: if there is a boy who is not a member of the soccer, then he to parade with us.
Note: above age-groups are a guide only. Let any parent or child feel free to join whatever group they wish. The main thing is that they participate.

What to wear:
Tog out! Wear runners (not boots on the road), socks and togs. Also wear a GAA jersey if possible - we suggest to bring plenty of colour so you can wear the county jersey of your parents or whatever.
You can even wear the Kinvara Training top that was given out with membership last year.
Note: if cold, make sure to wear layers underneath. No problem even wearing a tracksuit bottom and then the togs over it.

Also, we ENCOURAGE kids to maybe wear a green hat of any description. The FUNNIER the better!

What to bring:
Its up to yourself. Bring your hurl (no need for helmet this year) . Unfortunately due to large numbers, we will not be giving out any gear or balls or sliotars, so that is up to yourself to bring. But be careful!
I suppose we would recommend bringing your hurl as it would give us our own identity as the GAA.

Where / when:
Parade starts at 1.00pm, so all participants are told to meet at field at top of Moy Road (hurling pitch road) at 12.45pm. Head straight for the Kinvara GAA flags!

We would appreciate help from parents in the parade. This would take form of perhaps marching along the outside, to keep an eye on kids and balls!

Last year it was very difficult to supervise all kids, especially when the parade ended. It is the parents responsibility to make sure they care for their own kids.

Also, all parents are more than welcome to join the parade and bring the buggy or whatever if there are younger children.

Any queries or suggestions, then please contact Garret 087-9513442.
Thats it. See you all there!
