Junior B face crucial match

posted 20 Jun 2014, 15:37 by Garret Byrne
John Linnane's Junior B's face a tough test tomorrow evening (Saturday) as they travel east to Bullaun for a 6pm throw-in against Killimor. Both sides will need a win in order to keep their qualification hopes alive, while a defeat will just make it a bit harder but still possible to finish in the top four of the group.

Kinvara will be missing a few players (abroad and injuries), while we hope that any of our minor hurlers wont feel the effects of their match earlier this evening.
Kinvara opened with a good win over Abbeyknckmoy, but a disappointing show against Kilbeacanty has given a reality check. Training has been improved in the past couple of weeks,  but the lads will have to be at their best to dispose of the challenge from Killimor. The east Galway side themsleves have been impressive to date - beating Kilbeacanty and only losing to table topper TAD by a single point. They will pose a serious test of Kinvara, but hopefully the seasides will give the performance they are capable of and is needed in ordered to take the spoils.

A cracking match in store, and don't forget that this tie forms an attractive double header with our Junior C's playing Sarsfields afterwards at 7:30pm.

This weekends group matches:
Kinvara v Killimor, Sat 21st June in Bullaun 6pm
Abbeyknockmoy v Castlegar
