Kinvara U14s knocked out of Feile Cup

An under strength Kinvara under 14 team travelled to Clarinbridge on Easter Sunday for this second round Toddie Byrne Feile Cup competition.
This was a one sided encounter as Clarinbridge with justifable ambitions of winning this competition outright were way too strong for an under strength Kinvara side.
In goal Liam Byrne pulled off a fine save in the first half and again in the second half. The full back line of Jeff Stephens, Patrick O Gallachoir and Seanie Cahill had to cope with a very talented forward line. With the assistance of a capable half back line of Niall Huban, Cathal O Dwyer and Louis Fosatti they held Clarinbridge to seven points in the second half. In midfield Keelan O Rourke had two fine efforts at points in the second half and Brendan Connolly took his point well near the end.
The half forward line of Conor Mc Gourty, Colm Keady-Taball and Gerard Linnane worked tirelessly through and were assisted by a willing full forward line of Peter Mulleady, Simon Whelan and John McHugh who did their upmost on very limited possession.
Final Score: Clarinbridge 7-19, Kinvara 0-1.
