Match Preview: Kinvara v Turloughmore

Here is the match preview from this weeks Connacht Tribune:

(Kenny Park, Athenry 3:30pm)

Upstaged by Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry in the first round, Turloughmore will be hoping their injury crisis eases up in the run in to this crucial game. Galway defender Fergal Moore (finger) should make his return.
However, this has been offset by a calf injury to fellow county man Ronan Burke – sustained in their last outing – while also extremely doubtful for Tony Considine’s outfit are Michael Casserly and Jamie Holland (both back), Sean Linnane (shoulder), Cian Burke (hand) and Barry McDonagh (ankle).
After losing to Beagh last Saturday, Kinvara have just a week to regroup and, according to manager Ollie Bergin, that is a fairly tight turnaround, particularly when it comes to dealing with injuries.
Influential duo Steve Moylan (knee) and Colm Burke (foot) were both forced off through injury against Beagh while fullback Brian Carroll also sustained a knee injury in that game. Added to this, Ger Mahon (knee) continues to struggle and Aidan Moylan (back) is still a long term injury concern.

Verdict: Turloughmore
Last meeting: 2007 (Group) Kinvara 1-10, Turloughmore 1-9.
Match odds: Turloughmore 1/5; Draw 17/2; Kinvara 4/1.
