Round 2 of Junior B Hurling

posted 6 Jun 2013, 14:54 by Unknown user
Tomorrow (Friday) sees Kinvara play their second match in this years Junior B Hurling Championship, as we take the short trip over the road to Ballindereen, to face Craughwell in a 7:15pm throw-in.

John Linnane's men came close to upsetting a lively Salthill side in their opener, losing by the bare minimum of 1-13 to 2-9. That match will have given the Kinvara lads an idea of where they're at and what areas they needed to work on. A recent challenge went well, but we all know that it is championship that matters and that tomorrow will be a different ballgame.
Craughwell are never easy opponents, and although this is their clubs third adult side, there is no doubt that they will prove a tough proposition for Kinvara.

Kinvara will have to play without Eanna Linanne, who played for the seniors last weekend, while there are also a few niggly injuries amongst others, but shouldnt cause too much of a problem. On the positive side, Dara Smith is getting closer to togging after his injury, while a few lads previously exam tied should also be available to tog.

Verdict: It wont be easy, but we'll back the Seasiders on this one.
