Round 4 for U16s

posted 16 Apr 2014, 14:03 by Garret Byrne
After a stready start, Kinvara U16 hurlers now approach what is known in golf terms as "moving day". We have played 3 out of our 7 group matches, so the next two are vital to see whether we challenge for either Championship or Shield.
After defeats to both Portumna and Abbeyknockmoy (not much between us really), and then last week Sylane unfortunately had to concede as they couldn't travel, Kinvara are mid table on two points along with 3 other teams. At this early stage, both Ballindereen and Portumna look good for a top 4 finish, with all other sides battling for the other two spots with them.
Kinvara travel to Clonfert tomorrow for the match against Meelick-Eyrecourt. They are always very good opponents and have given us plenty of great matches in recent times. This is an important match for both sides, and we can be sure they will only be a hop of ball to separate the two sides.
Best of luck lads!
