Senior Hurlers update

As championship looms in the horizon (less the two weeks to go), manager Brian O'Driscoll is happy how things are going in past couple of weeks. After heavy defeats to Tommie Larkins and Mullagh, pride was restored with a spirited performance against Portumna last Saturday in Faiche Padraig.
Shane Kavanagh is back training with the county, however it is unlikely that we will see Ger Mahon before the end of the group stages. Long term injury Steve Moylan is also back and it is encouraging to see him build up his game time. Dara Smith (hernia) is also out and may unfortunately not see hurling until later in summer.
Other than that it was disappointing to see Paul Keane harshly sent off with a straight red in the closing minutes against Portumna. (PS still not a friend of Kinvara!). Paul will now miss our opening game v Beagh, and he will be a big loss.
There are a few games lined up in the next few days.
Firstly Ballyea (Clare) are up tomorrow eve (Tues) in pitch for 7.15 throw in, while there will be another challenge at weekend.
