Kinvara's second and last win over Sarsfields in SHC came in 1995 in the group stages.

Hopes were high that year for Kinvara, as we tried improve on the previous years semi-final defeat
to Athenry in 1994. Our group saw us with Kinvara, Sarsfields, Ardrahan, Portumna and Kilconieron (only two team qualify for quarter-finals).

Our opening match saw us narrowly lose to Portumna, before we "stunned" the great Sarsfields in Kenny park. (Note: Sarsfields won the SHC in 1992, 1993 and 1995, and Al-Ireland club in 1993 and 1994). Unfortunately we didnt follow with with the same displays in our remaining matches and lost both to Ardrahan and Kilconieron.

So, 12 months after almost reaching a county final, we were playing relegation. We lost the opener to Abbeyknockmoy, then narrowly beat St. Thomas, before senior status retained with a 1-9 to 0-7 win over neighbours Ballindereen.

The team in 1995 v Sarsfields was:
Pat Costello, Jarlath H, Peter Huban, Sean O'Connor, Ger Costello, Gerry McInerney, Ger O'Connor, Sean Moran, Michael Curtin, Enda Costello, Sean Forde, Anthony Byrne, Gerry Huban, Michael Kilkelly, Joe Byrne.
Subs on: Shane Murphy for Curtin, Garret Byrne for G. Huban, Damien Huban for Forde.
