U15B Hurling Championship
Thurs 18th Sept 2014

Cappataggle 2-13 beat Kinvara 1-7.

This match was played earlier this evening in fine weather in Kinvara's Faiche Padraic. Cappy got off to a great start and took an early 1-4 to 0-0 lead. But the Kinvara lads found their stride and pulled it back to 1-5 to 0-4. Then we struck for another 1-1 to level it, but Cappy raised a white flag on the stroke of halftime to lead 1-6 to 1-5 at the interval.
Shortly after the resumption the Kinvara lads equalised with a fine point, and at that stage had the majority of possession, but couldnt get the scores. Cappy went up the field and scored a goal and that lifted them to score a further brace of points.
Try as the Kinvara lads did, they just couldn't break the visitors rearguard.
So, a second defeat for Kinvara but plenty of positives to take from it. There was some great committment shown throughout, although they will no doubt be disappointed that this match slipped away when it looked promising early in the second half.
Next up is the visit of Craughwell next Thursday in the final group match.

Kinvara squad on the day was:
Ciaran Donohue, Simon Whelan, Sean Cahill, Darren Kilkelly, Louis Fossatti, Neil Huban, David Whelan, Conail Larrissey, Peter Mulleady, Luke Connors, Cathal Murray, Thomas Connolly, Danny Travis, Ger Linnane, Cathal Connolly, Tom Nolan, Brendan Linnnane, Donal Mulligan, Donal Keely, Jake Comyn, Aidan O'Sullivan, Brendan Connolly.
