KINVARA V MOUNTBELLEW-MOYLOUGH
Manager David Huban will be hoping to build on from last year's run in which we reached the final, only to lose to Oranmore-Maree. We are missing both David Burke and Ciaran Whelan from that side, but also this week news is that Ronan Kilkelly is doubtful through a long time injury that could keep him out for a while. On top of that another massive blow was delay with the emmigration of the influential Ollie Nilan to Australia.
In saying all that, the squad has good depth and there will be strong competition for the available places.
3 years ago at Minor B in 2012, Kinvara only reached the quarters where we lost to St. Thomas'.

Mountbellew-Moylough will be new opposition for Kinvara, with meetings between us very rare at any grade. As with most North Galway sides, we can be sure of a fit and physical side, but also this club is very strong at their hurling.
At minor B in 2012 they played a total of 7 matches, winning 5 of them, drawing 1, and only losing 1. That defeat was at the semi-final stage when they lost to eventual winners Portumna.
There is no doubt they will look towards that potential and be seeking to improve on it and start on a winning note today.

VERDICT
A tough, close encounter.
