U21B Hurling Championship semi-final
Sunday 23rd Nov, in Loughrea 11:30am

Kinvara GAA will hope to continue our unbeaten run for the month of November when our young U21 side face up to Kilconieron in this U21 semi-final. So far this month the club have played 4 matches of consequence and won the 4, which is no mean feat especially after considering our match before that in October was a defeat to send us down to intermediate.

Roll back 12 months and Kinvara and Kilconieron met also, that time in the quarter-finals. Kilconieron were the victors that day, beating Kinvara 2-18 to 2-12. They subsequently lost the semi-final to the eventual winners Rahoon-Salthill by 2-10 to 0-12. We can be sure that they look to go further this year, and they bring to the table a very skillful and strong side, who have impressed in their games to date.

David Huban's Kinvara lads upset the books in our recent quarter-final when we toppled a fancied Cois Fharraige side. That said, no matter how hard it is to win a county quarter-final, winning a county semi-final is a different scenario altogether, and our lads will need to find an improvement from somewhere in order to advance. The good news for us is that the room is there, and that the ability to improve is certainly there.

Verdict: The Seasiders.......after a gigantic performance!
