U21s with Preliminary Quarter-final date

This Bank Holiday weekend sees our U21 hurlers play in this years B Championship Preliminary Quarter-final, as we travel to Loughrea to face east Galway side Meelick-Eyrecourt on Saturday 16th March for a 3:30pm throw-in.

Manager John Linnane & Co have done extremely well so far putting in two solid performances in both championship games played to date. They have also played a couple of challenge matches and will look forward to this match now, as a place in the quarter-final beckons the winner. There are no major injury concerns to report from the camp, although a couple of players have some niggly injuries but are expected to be fit. This is a young enough Kinvara side with only 2 players overage for next year, and so the team relies on skill and pure determination.
Their opponents on Saturday , Meelick-Eyrecourt, are always a tough opposition and will themselves relish this clash with their own hopes of advancing. They accounted for Michael Cusacks in their opener, but were soundly beaten by city side Salthill-Rahoon in round 2. The city side are reckoned to be very strong this year, and by all accounts, Meelick underperformed on the day.

So to Saturday. It is going to be close. We can expect only a puck of the ball between the two sides come the final whistle. But which way will it go? We'll back the seasiders!
