Saturday 24th May in Carnmore

KINVARA....................1-15
ABBEYKNOCKMOY......2-11

Kinvara were lucky to get away with a win, in this championship opener. We were leading at one stage by 7 points in the second half and playing with the wind, but had to eventually come back from behind at the finish to get the win.

Here is our facebook live match report as it happened:

As we approach halftime its Kinvara 0-6 level with Abbeyknockmoy 0-6. Abbeyk have wind in first half.
Half time: Its Kinvara 1-6 lead Abbeyknockmoy 0-6. We got our goal late in the opening half, to give us the lead. We will have advantage of wind in second half but again, that wont put the ball over the bar for us!
With about 15 mins left, it Kinvara 1-11 lead Abbeyknockmoy 1-7. We were leading 1-11 to 0-7 but a Abbey goal has them brought right back into this.
5 mins left. Abbeyknockmoy 2-11 level Kinvara 1-14. They took lead but we score free to level. Exciting stuff.
