U21 Hurling Challenge,
Sun 16th March in Faiche Phadraig.

Credit to both sides who served up a lively and entertaining match in Kinvara's Faiche Phadraig on Sunday last. With the U21 championship due to kick off this coming weekend, this match will prove benefitial to both sets of sides and gave management an idea ahead of bigger days ahead.

Although the wind was more blowing cross the pitch, Kinvara had the slight advantage of it in the opening half. Points were scored from several players, as Kinvara showed some good movement. Killimordaly were slower to settle but when they did they proved difficult opponents and worked their first half points very well.
Halftime score was Kinvara 0-12, Killimordaly 0-7.
The second half saw Killimordaly get more into it again, although they did find the Kinvara rearguard tough opponents.  The sides more or less matched each other for points in the second half, with Ollie Nilan's late well taken goal being the only major of the hour.

Kinvara side:
Darragh Kilkelly, Stevie Bermingham, Jason O'Connor, Shane Byrne, Mark Bermingham, Eanna Linnane, Philip McNamara, James O'Hara, Ronan Kilkelly, David Burke, Nessan O'Hanrahan, Alan Keane, Rory Cullinane, Conor Whelan, Ollie Nilan.
Subs all came on: Sean Linnane, James Cronin-Rodger.
